Design a type specimen book showcasing the formal 

qualities of Bodoni.

Opportunity

Bodoni is a classic typeface with a lot of history. I felt as though grayscale was most appropriate to use for the book to showcase the aesthetic of the times it was created in. Developed during the Industrial Revolution, full-color printing was not yet possible. All of the imagery in this book was created by combining different Bodoni letterforms to create abstract symbols and icons.  The opening spread breaks down the unique characteristics of Bodoni and is followed by spreads for the creator and different styles of Bodoni. This book would be geared towards type designers and researchers.
